Terms of Use

These terms apply to all users of SD Academy (sdacademy.co.in).
1. About SD Academy
SD Academy is an internal employee learning platform operated by the SD Group of Companies. Access is restricted to authorised SD Group employees, interns, trainees and approved administrators. It is not a public platform.
2. Eligibility and Account Access
- Accounts are created exclusively by HR or authorised L&D administrators. Self-registration is not permitted.
- Access is granted based on your employment status, entity, department and role within the SD Group.
- Account access is updated or suspended automatically when your employment status changes.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Do not share your password with anyone.
- If you suspect unauthorised use of your account, notify support@sdacademy.co.in immediately.
3. Authorised Use
SD Academy may be used only for:
- Accessing and completing assigned learning modules and assessments
- Reviewing approved SOPs, policies and checklists relevant to your role
- Tracking your learning progress and certificates
- Submitting support requests
- Any other use expressly approved by your HR or L&D team
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You must not:
- Share, distribute or reproduce course content, videos, SOPs or assessments outside of SD Academy without written authorisation
- Attempt to access accounts, data or areas of the system for which you have not been granted access
- Use any automated tool, script or bot to interact with the platform
- Submit false answers in assessments or obtain certificates through dishonest means
- Upload, share or transmit any content that is defamatory, offensive, discriminatory or in violation of SD Group policies
- Attempt to interfere with the security, integrity or availability of the platform
- Use SD Academy for any personal commercial purpose
Violation of the Acceptable Use Policy may result in account suspension and disciplinary action in accordance with your employment agreement.
5. Mandatory Courses
Certain courses on SD Academy are designated as mandatory and have due dates. Failure to complete mandatory courses by the specified date may be treated as a conduct or compliance issue and reported to your manager and HR team.
6. Assessment Integrity
- All assessments must be completed independently.
- Where a retest is permitted, the minimum waiting period and number of permitted attempts will be stated in the course details.
- SD Group reserves the right to invalidate certificates obtained by dishonest means and to take disciplinary action.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on SD Academy — including courses, videos, documents, SOPs, assessments, branding and platform code — is the intellectual property of SD Group or its licensed content providers. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access this content solely for employment-related learning purposes.
8. Availability
SD Academy is provided on a commercially reasonable basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance wherever possible. SD Group is not liable for any loss arising from platform downtime.
9. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Employees will be notified of material changes via email or platform announcement. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from use of SD Academy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
